We headed to downtown Montreal.
We spent our day visiting the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. This massive historical Catholic Church is filled with colourful stained glass work, intricate wood carvings, statues, and visuals of local history. Orginally built in 1762 as the Church of Notre-Dame and raised to Basicilica status in 1982 becoming a national historic site only a few years later.
